Sooo....you'll have to make do with whatever photos I have been able to pull off of the video camera for now.
The picture quality is not great, but at least here's some "updated" photos of Evie!
If/when I find my charger for the battery on my regular camera I will pull off of there also. Technology is just not our friend right now!
These were taken at a MOPS Playdate at the Brownsville Children's Museum.
She loves to crawl around and explore and then winds up passing out before we leave the parking lot!!

We have a set of dvds of "Baby Signing Time" she sits for a little bit, checks it out up close, then plays around and listen/watches the rest.
I think she is now saying "baby" or something close to it now thanks to the show.
She also says what sounds like "Ebie" over and over again, "ebie, ebie, ebie" very cute!

PoGo wanted into the picture too!
Yes, I made her 2 outfits. The first is USA fabric and the 2nd is fireworks. They're a bit big, but I think she'll wear them next year too!
She was getting so tired!
Better view of the dress.
Thanks to my sister for making her flower clips!

Hence the reason our backyard looks like this:
And the street like this:
(Until neighbors went down and cleared debris from storm drain, then back to normal.)
My dad and Aery even drove over to say hi. So that was a nice break from the monotony of just the 2 of us at home.
Will post some picks of Evalyn next when I download my camera photos. These are all off my/our new video camera! (Haven't figured out how to get the videos off it yet.)
Love to everyone out there in sunshine land! We've seen maybe 10 minutes of it total today.

We are preparing for Tropical Storm Alex, probably Hurricane Alex by the time it gets here. Jason is currently in Biloxi, MS for an Inundation GIS Conference and could be sent over to Lake Charles, LA for back-up of the Brownsville WFO. For now I have stocked up on what is needed for Evalyn and myself, yes I had to give in and actually purchase baby food. Jason will let me know if he feels like we should leave and head to San Antonio or Houston area...or somewhere in between..College Station.
We will probably go stay with my parents and sister and her kids. My dad has a generator if we needed it like we did during Dolly 2 years ago. Not to mention the gas grill.
We ask for prayers not necessarily for us, but for the people that don't have everything available to them that we do during the storm. Also pray for Jason that he has peace of mind while working and not to worry about us.

Did she fall asleep trying to escape? :-)
Needless to say since she is sitting herself up now (and trying to pull herself up every so often), her crib mattress has been dropped down.

And entertained by whacking Dad with the toy phone. Guess she wants a real one instead!
Hugs for being good during lunch!
She never noticed this marlin hanging above her car seat the ENTIRE time she sat in it.
Outside by the fishing pier with the Black Dragon pirate ship behind us.
"Umm, excuse me Mr. Pirate, but can I have your sword?"
Arrr, me new mates!
