Trying on New Shoes

Evalyn liked the new shoes at first....then not so much.

Time for ....

Evalyn loves when it's "Baby Signing Time"

We have a set of dvds of "Baby Signing Time" she sits for a little bit, checks it out up close, then plays around and listen/watches the rest.

I think she is now saying "baby" or something close to it now thanks to the show.
She also says what sounds like "Ebie" over and over again, "ebie, ebie, ebie" very cute!

Yes, I made her 2 outfits. The first is USA fabric and the 2nd is fireworks. They're a bit big, but I think she'll wear them next year too!

Hurricane Alex

We're doing just fine during this hurricane. Evalyn and I are pretty much treating it as a normal day. A very rainy, often times kind of windy, one though. I dumped the rain gauge from yesterday at 6:40 this morning and it had 1.4 inches of rain. From then until 3:15 pm we got 5 inches of rain!!

Hence the reason our backyard looks like this:




And the street like this:







(Until neighbors went down and cleared debris from storm drain, then back to normal.)

My dad and Aery even drove over to say hi. So that was a nice break from the monotony of just the 2 of us at home.

Will post some picks of Evalyn next when I download my camera photos. These are all off my/our new video camera! (Haven't figured out how to get the videos off it yet.)

Love to everyone out there in sunshine land! We've seen maybe 10 minutes of it total today.
